What is the DofE Award?

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a multi-level award scheme for 14-24 year-olds. All three levels of the award consist of three core sections, Volunteering, Physical and Skill the aim of each of these sections is to improve a young person’s ability in each of the respective areas. On top of the three core sections at each level there is also an Expedition section of varying lengths and challenge to be completed. The aim of this section is to broaden the horizons of the young people, take them out of their element and challenge them in a way most of them never have been challenged. At Gold, participants must also complete a Residential section. The Goal of this section is to build on the challenges of the Expedition section and begin to also challenge a young persons interpersonal skills.

Here at Jurassic Watersports we are a Duke Of Edinburgh Award Approved Activity Provider. We deliver Expeditions at all three levels of the award, as well as the Gold Residential section.
